Hinchliffe surfacing project

Commercial surfacing

Surfacing specified around how your site operates: vehicle loading, pedestrian routes, drainage and access. Dan reviews your drawings and site requirements, then defines the construction, responsibilities and programme in a clear proposal.

Structure First. Surface Second.

A defined scope

Preparation, surface construction and exclusions set out before commitment.

Direct communication

Discuss your brief and outstanding decisions with Dan.

A considered programme

Review access, sequencing and site constraints alongside the work itself.

Project routes

Start with your site.

Define the package

A clear brief. An agreed scope.

Surface construction

Discuss tarmac, asphalt, block paving or resin bound against the intended use and existing base—not appearance alone.

Groundworks & drainage

Identify preparation, edge restraints and drainage interfaces, including responsibility for work outside the surfacing package.

Contractor enquiries

Send drawings and a specification for review. Clarifications, delivery requirements and any proposed alternatives are agreed before a quotation.

Before a proposal

The site requirements shape the package.

Structure First. Surface Second. Review loading, retained construction, water routes and interfaces with work by others before agreeing the surface. Dan will clarify what is included, who is responsible and which decisions remain outstanding.

  • Existing construction, ground conditions and areas to retain
  • Pedestrian use, vehicle loading and turning movements
  • Levels, falls, drainage outlets and thresholds
  • Site access, operating hours and work by others
  • Drawings, tender deadlines and handover requirements

From scope to handover.

Project questions.

Can we discuss a main contractor or tender package?

Yes. Use Submit a Tender Enquiry to share the brief, deadline and supporting documents. The enquiry starts a scope review; it does not confirm acceptance of the package.

Can surfacing be planned around an occupied site?

Tell us which access routes and activities must continue. Phasing and any alternative routes need to be reviewed and agreed before a programme is committed.

What should we send with an enquiry?

Send the site location, intended use, approximate area, drawings or specification, and required dates. Identify work by others and any tender deadline so the review starts with a clear brief.

Is a date confirmed when we enquire?

No. Scope, access arrangements and the proposed programme need review before dates are agreed. Tell Dan about fixed deadlines at the outset.

A price against a defined package.

Provide your specification and programme so Dan can review preparation, construction, drainage, edges, waste, access and work by others together. The proposal records allowances, exclusions and responsibilities; any alternative is checked against the same requirements.

Discuss relevant delivery evidence with Dan as part of that review. Where this page shows a supplier example, it illustrates the material and is explicitly identified—not presented as Hinchliffe sector work.

Discuss your site with Dan.

Send the site brief, drawings and required dates. Dan will contact you to clarify the scope and agree the next step. Construction, responsibilities and programme are confirmed in the agreed proposal.
